Here’s my story…
When my babies were small I used to walk (and walk and walk) with a friend because it was the only thing that would settle our children.
She used to have a saying “some days are diamonds….some days are stone.
We’d greet each other as arsenic hour approached. “Diamond? We’d ask each other hopefully. Somedays the answer would be yes – sometimes not so much.
And then, I met guided meditation…
And I started to have waaaayyyy more diamond days. Not exclusively for sure.
But more often…
Except that sometimes I just couldn’t make it happen. I knew if I could just calm down and go to that lovely place (Sarah Wilson describes it as the feeling when a mac cord plugs in) everything would be better. But somedays I couldn’t.
My brain would whirl. I’d sit there thinking. Just focus. How hard can this be?
Hard.
So I started to use guided meditations and it was bliss. Someone’s kind and loving voice guiding me into that place.
And that’s when I realised that everyone needs more diamond days.
