An interview with Tulsi of Yoga in Daily Life
This post could have never been written…I could still be in the Yoga in Daily Life studio, feeling the serenity seeping into my weary bones. I could still be there, sipping tea with Tulsidevi who exudes warmth, kindness and calm. I could still be there….
At the risk of sounding like a bad real estate ad the Yoga in Daily Life studio in Doggett Street in New Farm, Brisbane is an oasis in a sea of crazy parking and wall to wall coffee shops.
Yoga in Daily Life was founded by His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda (Swamiji) based on the following principals:
- Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritual Health
- Respect for life of all living beings
- Tolerance of all religions, cultures and nationalities
- Protection of human rights & the environment
- God realisation
Here’s how they describe what they do.
The heart of Yoga in Daily Life’s spiritual teaching is selfless service. Swamiji has inspired the creation of thousands Yoga in Daily Life Centres world-wide, where Yoga and Meditation is taught on a voluntary basis by professionally trained teachers. Classes and courses are conducted for the general public and specific groups such as community organisations, hospitals, schools, retirement homes, drug rehabilitation centres and companies.
Here’s Tulsi describing Yoga in Daily Life.
