When should I meditate?
This mightn’t sound like it but the “when will I meditate” question is perhaps the most important of all.
This is because, in order to start to experience the benefits of meditation, it is necessary to practice regularly.
10 minutes 5 times a week is far better than an hour on Sundays (and it’s why we send out daily emails)
First thing in the morning is probably preferable and seems to suit most people. After a good night’s rest, many people feel more refreshed than in the evening.
How are you going to make time for 10 minutes each day? Will you get up 10 minutes earlier? What are likely to be distractions for you at that time and how can you avoid them?
Today, set a time for your meditation practice and commit to it.
Today.
Here’s Gayatri from the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga talking about why a regular time and place is important
This really builds on yesterday’s preparation. Big day of clean-up needed at home tomorrow so getting straight onto it then. Messy house stresses my mind!
